For players who have not downloaded the client:
Please download the launcher at http://gdl.square-enix.com/ffxiv/download/beta/ffxivsetup.exe, login, and download the rest of the game. It should amount to about 8-9GB.

For players who already have the client:
There is no new patch for the game as of yet, but there is a small update for the launcher.

About game forums:
Please note that the beta forums has been shut down and the new lodestone forum is now in place at http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/forum.php

Like to find out if I have created a character in the Ultima world during Beta Phase 4, and when pre-access starts, if I was to create another character in Masamune world, would I need to pay any additional fee to keep both characters? Thank you very much

No, you do not need to pay an additional fee. However, if you wish to play both characters when your free 30-day subscription ends, you have to pay extra.

Just delete it when EA starts.

Yes you are correct, it will start at 24 Aug 9am (GMT+0), which is 24 Aug 5pm (GMT+8)
