Hi,
Team 5 had a different approach, that might be worth trying.
Main tank engaged ADS where it spawns, then we all just burn it down the whole fight!
the Offtank will pick up the adds down the other end of the hallway where you enter, and just keep them focused on himself while he gets healed, while the rest of us keep DPSing the main boss as fast as we can until WIN.
I play bard, so my role was pretty simple in the fight.
Maybe the healers (Varien Tutu, Maylyn Megumi) or the tanks (Jace Morgenstern, Miley Cyrus) may have a bit more insight on this tactic though.
We tried killing the adds as they spawned at first, but it wasnt working out for us, then we tried this strategy and it went alot smoother.
Just another way to try if ur still having trouble tonight :)
When the adds appear, try not to cast any skills for about 2 seconds while the OT tries to gain enmity on the add. Not sure how much heals would result in a overheal-aggro, but AFAIK there shouldn't be a need to Medica too much because the DPS are not supposed to get hit.
Ah.. good point.
I didn't use group heal much on Turn 1. Only if most members HP is around 50% it only happens when we get paralyze and its harder to avoid attacks / execute spells.
...I also realize later on that kind of paralyze cannot be cured by Esuna. >w>;
Usually I just use DS + Cure or Free Cure on the main tank and try to be as minimal but making sure the tank HP doesn't go down too low. I will try not to cast heal unless the tank is at critical when the adds show up until OT position it in the back.
True.. speed is of the essence. The fight could be finished faster if the DD focus all on the main boss instead of wiping out the adds. We did consider that tactic at first but they didn't want to put too much pressure on the healers. I'm up for anything, whatever the group decides. :d
You can try the "burning-ADS" method to gauge the overall team DPS.
If I'm not wrong, the healers are split in my team so one healer focuses on Solid and another focuses on Rex+other DPS. And yes, the Paraysis cannot be Esuna-ed. Therefore it will be best (actually it's mandatory) to silence all High Voltage.
As for who shall silence High Voltage, this can be done with just a MNK, at the expense of DPS output from the MNK, but the loss shouldn't be too big.
Downed ADS~ :D :D :D
We were so close in finishing the last boss too. My net was messing with me a bit last night so I was a little frustrated when I lag some few times. But it's one too many than I would have liked but I just keep spam cure / cure II / regen / divine seal/ presence the OT, never mind if it keep telling me cannot cast. >0<;
I think we all did good, so close to the finish. After the fight, I cannot sleep right away. I feel like a zombie right now, on my third cup of coffee. For 1 hour after I log off, my eyes fixated on the ceiling replaying the fight in my head over and over.
Wow I'm usually dead tired after CoB.
i think we did kinda do the "burning-ADS" method since we only killed the first spawn and just burned out ADS after that instead of killing all adds that spawned.
i don't think we need to worry much about ADS anymore. pretty soon we'll just gonna walk all over him~ :D
what we need is the best strat for Caduceus~
we almost got him though :D
we'll get him next time for sure! ^^
Woohooo !! ;D Congratzzzzzzzz

Thanks Endy :3 haha, yea I guess I'm still psyched since it's first time to experience.
Turn 1 Down~~ о( >▽<)o
Loot Claims:
DRG chest piece -- ???
PLD/WAR chest piece -- Luna
**No DRG in party so we decide to give it to a person who is leveling a DRG.
That was a close one. I was nearly out of MP with shroud and hi-ether on cooldown close to the end. Thank the Twelve for Freecures and Divine Seal. \ o /
Now for Turn 2.
I like what we're doing with Emrys. We started to follow this sequence of him casting Whispering Dawn first then when it fades, I cast Medica II during Monitor node and last boss to counter the vaccum.
He also casts Sacred Soil around the tanks during this time. Scholars are nice to have in parties. ^^
Still practicing the Allagan Rot passes. The silence rotation is getting better too :)
Would it be a better tactic if the healers don't move so much and stay in position unless avoiding line AOEs to keep their focus on healing the tank and keep the regen effect in party? And the DPS next in line for passing the rot will be the one to approach to get the rot from the healer?
Although I would probably like to practice passing the rot on, but I feel like until we get more familiar, we might want to play it safe. Emrys and I might need to use the mic or macro with sound to alert the next DPS to get it from us at 8 seconds. Give them 3 extra seconds to run to us or something like that.
Or.. is that more risky..?
Edit. Hm, guess I'll fix up the first post in a few..
I didn't get the dragoon chest. Think just a bunch of people greeded for it. I'm not sure who actually got it. lols. =D
Oh, lol. @w@; I see. I thought people passed it for your DRG.
What Team 1 did was to announce numbers and call out "Rot on -number-" eg. Rot on 2. The one with the rot will pass it to the next number when the counter shows 5s. Xreedom is usually number 2, so he just passes it to Rave (no. 3) who is a BRD, so is not required to run too far. But at number 4, which is Reddot, Einzo (number 5) continues attacking ADS from a position that is closest to Reddot, then prepare to receive the rot by moving closer (but not too close) to Reddot. Redot will then only need to move slightly to pass the rot.
Forgot to say that all of us have fixed positions so that adjacent numbers are as close as possible.
Mm, okay.. :'3 Turn 2 not clear yet. The next run to be determined until Mama Esmme's comp is fixed.
Meantime.. there is some improvement in the allagan rot passing and no more high voltage :) but it is a bit hard for the healer to move to pass the rot. Especially around near 50% when the ADS starts hitting even harder than before, healer cannot let up even a few seconds.
So I want to suggest asking the dps next in line of passing, especially on those next to us healers by asking them to come to us instead of us going to them. @@;;
Or.. we could try switching the numbers around. Those not part of the silence rotation should be next in line from the healer...
What do you guys think??
Edit. Yea I'm still up... lol.. cannot sleep again. Thinking.. tossing... turning...
I think it's a good idea.
What we do for the first round is have the people next in line to the healers "fetch" the rot so that the healers don't need to move as much.
After the first round, it doesn't matter as much - healers can go early or the people next in line can fetch early. As long as they're stacked together the rot will pass as soon as the immunity goes out.
Something that may help is arranging your party window so that the person next in line is under your name, and so forth. That way you can tell at a glance when you're next in line and see the status of the person after you as well. [So you know when immunity's dropped or the rot has been passed more easily]
You can arrange the party order in your social -> party window.

!!!?!
LOL. WUT. I did not know that. >W<;
Hyuuu, that mean I could have made my life a lot easier if I had known how to rearrange people so tanks not so far from each other. /headdesk
Thanks Alh. hahah omgahhd...

Yo~!!! Tired of them balls I heard?? Too many balls~!!!
Anyway, just my suggestion for your team which you guys may consider:
Setup
(Refer to the image above. Position yourselves accordingly to the numbers.)
1. Esmme Gwysiwr
2. Emrys Gwysiwr
3. Quincey Maldita
4. Kudj'a Yarikh
5. Zylo Sladek
Melee: Koenigs Pants
Tanks: Luna Krystal and Fushuai Fujiang
Pointers
1. Silence: Get any one of the tanks and Koenigs Pants to be on Silencing duty. Then the other spare tank to be on Backup Silence. For example if Koenigs miss his silence, the other tank will help cover up for him.
2. Rot Passing: Put a symbol (any) on Koenigs. If any one of the tanks get the rot, Koenigs will get the rot from the tanks and pass to 1 - (Esmme). Koenigs will not be part of the main rot passing rotation but rather the one who will take it away from the tank if the tank happens to get the rot. This will allow Koenigs to keep his monk rotations/ DPS up easier and also silence. Monks need to keep their GL3 and rotations up in order to perform.
3. Communication on Rot: Whoever gets rot, will call out "Rot on 1/2/3/4/5". Once the person who got the rot passes to the next person, sound out "Rot on 1/2/3/4/5", so that this "next person" will know that the rot got passed on to him. The person who gets the rot can echo it if he wishes.
4. The 12345 Main Rot Rotation Team: DPS - you guys can shift+f the person next in line to you or just estimate when to get the rot from the healers so that the healers can focus healing and don't need to move to you. This is what I did for my team: I am mambo number 5 and reddot is number 4. I will estimate how long the rot has been on reddot and go grab it off him.
These are just my suggestions, which may or may not work for your team. Just giving you guys an idea on how we cleared ADS. Good luck and all the best! You guys will down it this week! :)
Einzo's LOLOLOL diagram for ADS HAHA
Yeh, I'm starting to hate them boruz. Are we going to see more of them in T4? Thanks, Einzo for the tips and encouragement :3 As soon as we got our full team again then we will give it another go.
Tentative Raid sched updated. :)
Nope, no balls in turn 4. Just bugs, robots, rooks and dreadnaughts (the same one from the Lightning FATE).

GOOD. Lol.
Hmm.. getting there. Just some lag issues here and there but we will try again tmr. ^-^; Team 7 fighting..
Was talking to Zylo last night about how his coil team before used a stacking method for the rot passing. It intrigued me so I looked it up, stacking method and I came across this site.
From: http://www.ffxivguild.com/ffxiv-binding-coils-of-bahamut-turn-2-ads-guide-strategy/
Quote
Rot Passing (4 Ranged) ["Stacking Method"]
Ranged (1) -> Healer (2) -> Ranged (3) -> Healer (4) -> Ranged (5) -> Ranged (1) [STACK UP]
While we never do this, If you have an all ranged party you can actually stack up after Ranged (5) gives it to Ranged (1). Rot will, amazingly, pass itself after that. If you do this method make sure you all DODGE IN THE SAME DIRECTION, when getting lasered or gravity welled.
After 1 complete round of allagan rot.. we can go meet up at the center and stack together while the rot passes itself as soon as the next person's immunity finishes its cooldown. Only thing is we need to move in the same direction to avoid gravity or laser which shouldn't be too hard to do if we just follow the crowd direction.
Or pick and mark one person and have them be the one everyone follows.
What do you think? @.@ Want to try it?
I also realize Alh mentioned it in an earlier post. >w<

....Yeah. My head meets the desk right now. =v=;
eishhhh... (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
Er.. my mind was a bit fuzzy last night so the loot table might not be accurate. Would appreciate it if anyone could correct me if I'm wrong on this one.
Allagan Circlet of Casting - Esmme
Allagan Bracelet of Casting - Quincey
(or was it ring of casting.. ) =v=;
