(The bolded parts are the updates. For a more detailed explanation of the new decision to allow PKing, see Appendix 1 at the very end.)
Aim of Our Guild
- To provide a stress-free and fun environment for all the members in the guild.
- We are already famous :P Now it is what we're known for that we should work on: We want other players to know that we are a super friendly and helpful bunch, and that we are respectful and honorable, even when PKing (see details below regarding our rules on PKing).
- Get the guild members to work together, know more about each other, and have fun as a guild. This includes scheduled ingame events, helping each other out with food and upgrading items, as well as lively forum participation :) We want to create an environment where we can all be at ease, where we can share with each other our joys and our sadness. Aiming for more than just 'players in the same organization,' we aim to be 'friends.'
What Our Guild is Not
- We are not defining our guild by a burning, unquenchable desire to be at the top of the rankings or anything aggressive like that. Such a goal would require strict quotas and aggressive playing, and our guild is not about that. We do have exemplary members who are very strong in PVP, and we highly encourage that, but that is not the direction of our guild as a whole.
- We do not aim to be an evil guild that encourages PKing. We do, however, allow PKing for members who want to farm evil points. However, we have strict rules regarding this (see below for details on PKing).
- That said, we will not aim to be a so-called 'righteous' guild. We will not announce ourselves as a guild who makes it their identity to aggressively chase down criminals and wage war on every PK guild in existence. If we are attacked, we will of course attack back. But otherwise, we abide by no strict anti-evil stance. Our main goal, in the end, is to have fun, and not to be the police (nor a jerk).
Officers of the Guild (their IGNs)
- Guild Leader: Konoka
- Vice Leader: Einzo (who is also the leader of the whole Einsof community)
- Officers: gaelyoh1, Mion, Wu-Ming, Zhan.Zhao
- Assistant Officers: yui, phyllisgal, WangCongYang
Guild Guidelines
- We will allow PKing for a while and see how it goes. The main reason for this is for Einsof members who want to farm evil points, and definitely not because we now want to be an evil guild. (in the meantime, I will look into alternate ways to get evil points) HOWEVER, all members must strictly abide by these rules:
- I shouldn't have to say this, but our own members and members of allied guilds are DEFINITELY off-limits. Never do it.
- You may NOT turn on Jianghu to PK other players to take their book during script stealing.
- No ganking. These means no ganging up together against an opponent. Honorably fight 1vs1.
- Do not camp respawn points. That's just low. If you kill someone, just kill them and move on. Camping respawn points is harassment, and you will get a Warning if we hear about this.
- Don't PK someone if they're in the process of doing something (for example, if they are in the middle of farming). You'd just be plain annoying.
- Never attack anyone when they are in the middle of TP. Even if you see an enemy, don't attack him. TPs are strictly neutral places.
- Don't attack AFK players. Being attacked while knowing it is one thing; it's quite upsetting to go afk and come back to find yourself dead.
- Keep them personal. Don't go insulting their guild after killing them. And if you get killed in return, Einsof Officers will not help you.
- Be VERY respectful! Never, ever, EVER trash talk, and if possible, try to revive the other person afterwards. Let them know that you're doing this for the evil points, and not because you want to harass them.
- Once, when I was spying, a training manual dropped, but I immediately got killed by a patrol. However, the patrol picked up the scroll, and when I used mild on-site heal, he traded the scroll back to me. We're not asking you all to go to such lengths, but we do want you guys to hold this as an ideal.
- As Mion put it, “in short, don’t be a jerk, and don’t give off the impression that our guild is full of jerks.â€
- On node wars:
- If someone was already there, do NOT PK or threaten him to take the node. Wait until he leaves, or just go somewhere else.
- If you were already there first, give the other person a warning. Take a screenshot of your warning. If he still refuses to leave, then you may PK him. We definitely don't encourage this, and all PK rules still apply (ie. be nice, be respectful about it, don't trash talk them), but we allow it.
- Do not attack escorts without express authorization from an official guild announcement. Einsof believes that if another guild is neutral with us, then their escorts are hands-off.
- Accept the reality that this is an open PVP game. You WILL be PKed every now and then. Your escort WILL be attacked every now and then. When you are PKed, take screenshots. However, if you have been killed by the same guild/player for more than 3 times within a short period and there is a clear intention of harassment, report it to an officer with your screenshots through forum. We will then begin investigation.
- There is a difference between "clear intention of harassment" and you being stupid. If there is an escort robber camping an escort route, you would be stupid if you kept trying to run that route and kept getting killed.
- Do not kidnap our own guild members or members of allied guilds. Otherwise, we allow the kidnapping of other players.
- If you'd made a promise (for example, to run an instance), keep the promise. Don't keep everyone else hanging. If you can't make it, inform your party mates or an online officer rather than going MIA.
- No insults. Constructive criticism is greatly welcomed, but name-calling, dirty jokes, trash talking, and flaming will not be tolerated. This is the same for inside the guild (on our forums, in guild chat, etc) as well as outside the guild (the way you talk to other players and how you treat them).
- All members are required to be registered on our forums (einsofgaming.com) within a week after joining, unless if there is a specific problem, such as being unable to apply etc, in which case the member must contact a ranked player. You must also register to our RaidCall channel (our channel number is 3540514, and you can download RaidCall here (http://www.raidcall.com/v7/download-raidcall.html)).
- All communication is to be conducted in English. If you want to use another language, please whisper or PM. The only other exception is Singlish, which is technically still English. 8)
Recruitment Policy
- To join, ask for it on RaidCall, or go ingame and PM any one of our officers: Konoka, Einzo, Mion, Wu-Ming, or Zhan.Zhao.
Promotion Policy
- Our promotion policies can be found here (http://einsofgaming.com/forums/index.php/topic,272.0.html).
Guild Diplomacy
- Official Allies
- Unofficial Allies
- Enemies (ie. KOS)
Einsof's Policy on Alliances
- We will support our official allies in guild wars.
- We will NOT support allies' guild wars (both official and unofficial) by staying outside and PKing enemies who come near (we did that once, to no good results).
- Allies' escorts are off-limits (actually, the Einsof policy is that all escorts except enemies' are off-limits).
- Members of allied guilds (both official and unofficial) may NOT be PKed. If we receive a screenshot showing that such a thing happened, our member will immediately get 1 Warning.
- We strongly encourage active cooperation between our members.
Basis for Disciplinary Action
- Conscious effort to tarnish the guild name.
- Purposefully disrupting another player's gameplay (ie. continuous PK, mocking, harassment, disrupting TPs, etc).
- Constantly disregarding Guild Guidelines.
*We operate on a
"3 strikes and you're out" system. Each case will be reviewed carefully. If there is a complaint from a non-member, proof will be needed, and we will take the statements of both sides. In these cases, if the charges are dropped, then there will be no further negative consequences for the member. If it is a frequent infraction within the guild, then an Officer or higher will speak privately with the member before deciding whether to count it as an official warning.
Appendix 1: The Decision to Allow PKingAlthough this sounds like a very sharp turn of policy,
this actually is not the case. There was a clause in our original manifesto, "if there is a justifiable reason," which became a very easily exploited loophole. We became quite lenient towards PKing, and basically turned a blind eye towards it (all the while still professing to be against PKing). In retrospect, this was quite hypocritical of us, and therefore is a lamentable overlook on the part of the Officers who wrote the original manifesto. However, we gradually received reports of our members PKing, which prompted us to review our policies. When doing so, we realized that strictly forbidding PKing is not fully aligned with
Einsof's main policy of merely providing a "stress-free and fun environment for all the members in the guild."
We are not a righteous guild, but a neutral guild, and thus strictly forbidding PKing is to unjustly deny a large part of the gameplay to our members. Therefore, we now feel the need to change and clarify our relevant policies.
That said, it is only when we acknowledge and officially allow PKing that we can set rules regarding PKing. And therefore,
we have set up strict, clear-cut rules in regards to it.
We still do not encourage it inside the guild, but we will officially allow it. We are not an evil guild, so
our goal is NOT to go around being a jerk and messing up everyone's day. We want our members to have fun, but definitely not while ruining other people's gameplay.
We are to remain respectful, honorable, and reasonable. Anyone reported to be purposely breaching these ideals will be given a Warning (or maybe even worse, depending on the situation).
This decision to official allow PKing is still
temporary. For now, we will be keeping a tight watch on our members. This decision, after all, is to merely allow our officers greater control over PKing in the guild, and is definitely not meant to alter the main purpose of the guild. This policy is subject to future review.
hmm.. no problem on the rules but as for the below... 8)
1) Do not PK, unless if by retaliation or if there is a justifiable reason. Incidences will all be reviewed case by case. The only exception are players on our Enemies List; they are all Kill On Sight (if you have the capability).
- Main core gameplay in WOS is to pvp.. so.. waiting for a KOS list.. ;D
3) Do not attack escorts without express authorization from an official guild announcement.
- I might be joining other royal guards (if there is) to attack escorts.. more like roleplay.. but will avoid guildies and allied guildies
5) Do not kidnap our own guild members or members of allied guilds. We allow the kidnapping of other players. But make sure to not let your Malevolence get too far ahead of your Chivalry.
- Wont kidnap guildies but others... 8)

Well, for now, we are still quite small. So we don't want to be randomly stepping on anyone's toes just yet. But it is not likely that we will change this guideline in the future. We are not looking to be a PK guild. Well, "justifiable reason" includes school wars, guild wars, and script stealing. This rule is mainly to say that we don't want Einsof members making a name for themselves as a famous PKer, because that is not the image we want people to have of Einsof.

However, it is a fact that the Einsof name will still be above your head when you attack the escorts. Because escorts are technically a guild mission, we do not want there to be a misunderstanding that Einsof is looking to stir up trouble against another guild (much less joining forces with another guild to do so!)

This, no problem. As it says here, we allow you to kidnap anyone not Einsof or allied. We simply ask you to not go overboard with it and get yourself known as an evil player ;D
I do realize that what I've saiid here sounds a lot like I care more about the image of our guild's name, but I hope you understand. I point to DemiGodz as an example. Even though the majority of their members were not PKers during CBT1, the fact that a handful of them became well-known as 'evil' players has now tainted their guild name, leading many players to doubt their declaration of being 'righteous.' We don't declare ourselves as 'righteous,' but neither do we want to be known as a guild that encourages and tolerates excessive PKing

Yo uncle!~ AoW is an open world PvP game. You can kill anyone and anyone can kill you anytime anywhere. There is no safe place in this game. Just that we have alliance with a few Guilds that we will not kill each other unnecessarily. :)
