Bombermine is a browser-based massively multiplayer online game. It is currently in the beta phase and free to play. It is basically a Bomberman game which offers support for up to 1,000 players.

The map is vast, but the gameplay is still recognizably Bomberman, with all the chaotic explosions and power-ups. There are even a few twists of the (currently anonymous) creators' own devising, including boxes which shower bombs everywhere when blown up, and footballs which can be blasted into goals for extra points.

The game's currently in beta, so you'll have to forgive any rough edges for now - there doesn't appear to be any sound.

There have been rumors that the Xbox 720 announcement will be coming in early April. Colin, who spent time at CES with “a number of companies involved in video game development and distribution” also predicted Microsoft's Xbox 360 successor will launch in November 2013. The Xbox 720 may include the next generation of gesture-based controls. According to VGleaks, the Kinect 2.0 device will feature an upgraded 1080p camera, have a larger field of view, improve low-light object detection, and use USB 3.0, which will reduce latency.

The downside: Xbox 720 may require always-on internet and/or block used games.

Blizzard has teased the press with word of a new game announcement they're preparing for Boston's Penny Arcade Expo East next month.

"We've been working on a little something, different from our other games, and we're pleased to invite you to be the first to see it," the company wrote in its e-mailed note. "It's not a sequel, expansion or that rumored next-gen MMO, but it's something we're excited for you to get your hands on."

Blizzard's official presentation for its mystery project will take place in PAX East's Naga Theater on Friday, March 22 at 10 a.m.

Will it be Blizzard Dota? Now known as Blizzard All Stars.

EA revealed its intention to introduce microtransactions in all its future titles, as announced by its CFO Blake Jorgensen.

"The next and much bigger piece [of the business] is microtransactions within games," Jorgensen said. "We're building into all of our games the ability to pay for things along the way, either to get to a higher level to buy a new character, to buy a truck, a gun, whatever it might be, and consumers are enjoying and embracing that way of the business."

And not to forget, EA John Riccitiello thought about charging money for bullets in games and this was what he mentioned:

"When you are six hours into playing Battlefield and you run out of ammo in your clip, and we ask you for a dollar to reload, you're really not very price sensitive at that point in time."

"A consumer gets engaged in a property, they might spend 10,20,30,50 hours on the game and then when they're deep into the game they're well invested in in. We're not gouging, but we're charging and at that point in time the commitment can be pretty high."

"But it is a great model and I think it represents a substantially better future for the industry."
