Thanks for posting the guide and requirements~ ^^

Honestly I've been avoiding trying to go to AK for a while because I thought my gears wouldn't be enough.. >.< ... and I really don't want to be a burden on the party... especially because I haven't done it before so, guh.. I know how some people grimace when they know someone is new and I also get nervous as hell. So it goes both ways, hombre.

But after you get over the first time, I think it'll be smoother here on out.  I hope. I'm just nervous if I happen to to be paired up with people who want to do speedruns and get mad over a small mistake. But yeah, it's not like I can stay in that state forever, gonna have to try it sometime. AK gears and GC weap is okay, so okay. I will try it. x_x;

It's not Aurum Vale to unlock next GC tier? ovo'
Okay, will read up on AK now also.

Thanks ^^

Okay, thanks for the info, Mion, Endy. :3  I'll see if I can spot them online later.

Oh, the GC weap for AK... Which mean I need to do Aurum Vale first. I put it off a while to do story mode, so I'll go do it now.

Farm for.. DL armor.. o.o So DL armor can be acquired outside of exchanging of tomes in WP...?  Ah, so that is why people are running WP a lot now..?  In addition to saying it can be done in less than 10 mins when properly geared.

LOL. M'not a tank (noob healer here x'3 ) but this is a highly informative guide with regards to phases and positioning. I will read on this summor once I am geared enough to enter Titan HM.

And I know now that Mion also doubles as a tutorial assistant. :o

Are there any Level 50 alchemists in the guild willing to help out with Relic weapon quest?

I already got the weapon and the 2 quicktongue materia III.

I've never request meld someone else before so I'm not familiar with what else is needed..
er.. 2 pcs. Grade 3 Carbonized Matter? And other else?

And is there an expected fee? >w<;  If there is, relatively how much....??

Edit:  Thanks for the help, Sara~  (/≧∇≦)/
I'm going to start working on my crafting also to try to get them to 50.

Also, to do AK and WP, you need Darklight... or is it sort of doable with the set you get from Level 50 job quest?  I'm trying to look into dungeons to spam for tomes so I'm wondering if I should just stick around in CM and Prae until I get enough for Darklight or can I also go into those other two dungeons? @.@

I haven't reached level 50 in any craft yet, but I'm leveling multiple crafting jobs at the same time at a casual pace.

My patterns change according to the conditions that come up and there are several ways and patterns to achieve HQ so I'm just sharing what I usually do.

The cross class skills I use frequently are below:

Careful Synthesis (WVR 15) - 0 CP
Hasty Touch (CUL 15) - 0 CP
Waste Not (LTW 15) - 56 CP
Rumination (CRP 15) - recovers CP
Tricks of the Trade (ALC 15) - recovers CP
Rapid Synthesis (ARM 15) - 0 CP

1. Always activate Inner Quiet before beginning any synthesis.

2. Careful Synth until one last step is needed to complete. Usually for items with 40 durability.  Usually takes 1-2 depending on the recipe you are trying to craft. Or if it takes only 1 careful synth complete, disregard this for now and focus on building up quality.

3. Great Stride. In the event that a Good condition pops up within the 3 steps of this buff. Press it. Contrary to the guide above, I usually end up putting greater emphasis on using Great Stride for Good/Excellent condition, or last resort is using Standard Touch.

4. My usual pattern for above is: Great Stride (32CP) > Steady Hand (22CP) > Waste Not (56CP) >Standard Touch (32CP) > Hasty Touch (0CP) in the next 4 steps to follow until both buffs expire.

I don't like using Manipulation. I prefer Steady Hand + Waste Not. But whichever works better for the crafter, there is no one way to do things.

5. Master's Mend when it's 10 dura left or if you need more CP to recover, use Rumination.  Tricks of Trade is more luck based so it's good to have both.  But if I had to pick one out of the two, Rumination is more reliable and can recover more CP.

Tricks of the Trade is more situational. It's very useful for when you only have 10 dura left and the condition is Good. (This happens a lot than you'd think it would.) You can use that skill to recover 20 CP before using Master's Mend.

6. Hasty Touch and Rapid Synthesis both have a success rate of 50%. I usually only do these when I have Steady Hand active.

7. I only use Rapid Synthesis for items with over 40 durability and that are on the higher end of my current level when Careful Synthesis doesn't give much progression.  It's risky and your synth could fail if your luck is really bad but it's worked more times for me more times than not.

When I use RS, I will usually only need 1 more Careful Synthesis to complete. And I will want to use the rest of the durability to focus on increasing quality so I switched around my pattern for this.

Inner Quiet > Great Stride > Steady Hand > Waste Not > Standard Touch > Rapid Synth > Hasty Touch till buff wears off > Rumination > Steady Hand > Waste Not >Hasty Touch till buff wears off > Careful Synth

8. My last step / finisher is always that last step of Careful Synthesis to complete. It's a more secure way to make sure your synths never fail.

9. And even at quality 92% there is still a chance for it not to be HQ so as much as possible, if you still have the means (CP/dura) to try to get it to 100%, go for it.

10. Aside from leves, there is also exp and gc seals to be gained from submitting HQ items to Grand Company supply/provisions.

I also found this useful: (will add more later)

FFXIV: A Realm Reborn / Re: What is FC for you?
October 16, 2013, 02:18:44 PM
FC is, to me, not just about progression and raiding. Most of the guild I join before are more social and casual but...

Ah.. I don't know. I just find myself more quiet these past few weeks. I guess it's partially because I'm not Level 50 yet. Whenever there are people asking to group up for parties, I find I'm not at the right level or right job class to help so I've just been concentrating on my own progression.

I'm aware it's taking longer than usual because I always get sidetracked with crafting and gathering. x_x But I think I might reach Level 50 this week. I'll just go Bluefog and find a fate party there. Can't progress to my next story quest unless I level, zzz...

I also stopped coming to the forum for a while because it's er... so quiet. lol.. ^^;

FFXIV: A Realm Reborn / Re: NA players?
September 02, 2013, 09:12:31 AM
So... only NA players can join the linkshell? :c  Some of us play off hours due to the high congestion of login traffic though.

Yet most of the guildmates I've met are from Malaysia and Singapore but if I happen to run into someone from NA, I'll let them know about this thread.  :)

FFXIV: A Realm Reborn / Re: Macros

I just started looking into macros.

Seeing the comments of people, I guess pet macros are not applicable...
Ok... ;-;

Oh, okay. ^w^; guess can't do much until next patch to fix that problem.

I dabbled in Carpentry, admittedly because I wanted to make furniture. X'D I'm also kind of excited at the prospect of making chocobo stables where can raise and breed and a garden(?). I only know it is in individual housing, not sure about FC one. Indiv housing not available yet so I'm still thinking about it.

Wasn't able to get in Masamune last night due to World Full even no matter how much I spam. Crossing my fingers that I can login tonight. Else I sleep early and wake up at off peak hour to login. :3

My first run didn't go so well. ^w^; Messy, no coordination.  I think a little pre-briefing goes a long way so I think I should try to talk to my party before start of dungeon. By using Duty Finder, will it also select your group based on the language you select? I notice next to our names there is J, E, etc. letters representing language.

This is also cross-world, I think. Is there no way to be able to select a party with friends from another world?

Also, is there a level limit for dungeons: like if you are above this level, you cannot enter this dungeon?

2m! wa, as expected... to be that expensive. @@;
Hmm... I want to help somehow. Although how to help is the question. Maybe can pool resources together or something like that.

There is an FC chest, right?

Although I haven't tried accessing it or I don't know if regular members can even, but is it possible to store gil there? Or is it only for items?

Ah, I see. Thanks for answering my questions :D I'm checking out the guide now.

OwO !!

A built-in translator... I heard of it but didn't know how to activate. Awesome XD I should try that out later.

Edit. Oh! Also I just remembered.  There's also going to be Free Company housing. Though it's not implemented yet. ...I think?  Got any plan on where to establish? :3
