I'd like to do some lower dungeons as  a tank or a healer so that I'm totally clueless at 50. Msg me if I'm online. =)

Ohh, I'm leveling DPS class also, one at 30 (BLM) and one at 20+ (ACN), I wouldn't mind trying them out in dungeon. :3 Got any quests or just want to jump into a dungeon with this level range, lemme know.

I'm also thinking of maybe trying gladiator > paladin. I actually have a low level one.. but in NA/EU because that's where I go if JP server have maintenance and so I could also watch the exclusive cut scenes for the starting city. けほ

I wouldn't mind helping out in lower level dungeons if you need a healer and if I'm not in the middle of a leve or dungeon.

I did most of mine in duty finder with JP parties while leveling but I'm not sure how it is now that more and more people are hitting 50. But with the implementation of duty roulette, we'll be seeing more people will be revisiting the lower level dungeons.

Those are some nice insight for WHM in Titan, thanks Red :)

I'm more of your kouhai (underclassman) when it comes to being WHM, Endy. I could still use a lot of work myself so I don't know if I can give good advice.

As for regular mobs... I took Alh's advice from a previous thread, I started putting Divine Seal into more use. After casting it, I top up the tank with Cure then add a Regen. Then, I put up cleric stance then start throwing debuff and DoTs in there before using Stone II (but they usually die before I can use Stone II.. lol)

So.. it's something like..

Divine Seal > Cure > Regen > Cleric Stance > Stone > Virus > Aero II > Aero I > Stone II  >

If the dps start throwing AoEs, I move closer and cast Holy. Number of times depend on tank HP, healer MP and if Shroud can be activated after. Or if you have a bard in the party that likes to cast Mage Ballad.

Presence of Mind / Swiftcast -  I don't think I utilize it very well yet. I tend to reserve it when the party is in a pinch, I'm still trying to find where else I can apply it.

Although in the beginning of some boss fights, I activate Presence of Mind  sometimes, put up cleric stance and throw in the regular debuffs and DoT at the boss as fast as I can before it wears out before I switch cleric stance off.

Without cleric stance I still throw in debuffs and DoTs if no healing is needed, just so I'm not being idle.

Hi Jess, welcome to the forums~ and to Masamune. :)

O_O Whoa. I'm not online for one night and according to the SE forums, there's some kind of market bug/hack going on..

I gave it some more thought... er.. maybe a list of crafters and gatherers isn't such a good idea after all. At least until security issues are solved.. who knows when that will ever be.  It's not a comforting thought that our character names are  somewhere some creepers could easily access.

(Although there's always the.... hmm, but I won't get into that..)

I have seen maybe 1-2 threads offering to sell gil in the forum but they were quickly deleted. Thanks to the mod who did. It's just kind of unsettling to what lengths they'll go through just to continue their illegitimate business.

Hopefully nobody in the FC got hit by it. :x

It can be done like the google docs for the COB teams but how updated it will be will also depend if there are people are interested in it and if they are okay with getting approached for their crafting / melding / gathering by other FC members.

I can try asking other gatherers/crafters around when I go online later what they think. Or if any crafter/gatherer who is lurking/viewing the forum can answer and give their input also, would help. :p

Just thought of something...

I'm wondering if we should have a list of crafters and gatherers. Like a spreadsheet where people edit their own data in when they make progress or something like that.

Or some kind of thread that acts as a trading post for people looking for a supplier of so and so mats that can be made by a certain class?

And either trade or sell materials or equipment to fellow fcmates at a reasonable or discounted price? ^^;

Or for people who are offering their materia melding services and at what fees... and things like that..

If there are enough people who are interested in DoL and DoH in the fc...?

Also, FC housing is coming out on 2.1 so I thought it'd probably be useful, since it will probably require multiple crafters. And it could also get more people to visit the forum too o.o

Thanks for the valuable input and advice, everyone.  :)

It'll take some getting used to balance both and remember WHM's priorities. All that's left is to keep at it and get more experienced and familiar with different kinds of party setup.  And probably learn to grow thicker skin if things don't always go as planned.

(I guess I let some of the bad runs in DF get to me a little bit.. haha.. ^^; )

Thanks for sharing.

Looking forward to this too.  I wonder if they will make any changes in WHM, although I got no complaint with the class so far.

Ah, the bulletin board recruitment for DF parties. It sounds great. It sounds like there will be filters that will make it easier to find parties in this bulletin board function with your same kind of mindset and pace. \ o /  And then there's the MVP function, although I wonder  if it will do good or make the DF experience even more unfriendly... can only wait and see the effect.

Hi, this is my second week as Level 50. So I've been reading up, experimenting and trying out other kind of combination of play style to try to improve as a WHM.

This is my first 50 class, so the only time I ever get to see another WHM in game is during 8 man parties and it's not enough to go by example. So.. I'm here to ask the more experienced 50 WHM and players who have been in party with them some questions about what they expect or their preference.

So far what I have been doing is trying to juggle the two roles, practicing and getting familiar with adding cleric stance + DPS into the dungeon gameplay aside from boss battles. Because just focusing on healing probably doesn't cut it anymore. Especially where speed is concerned. And the last place I want to be is the one who slow the whole party down.

I realize there isn't just one kind of playstyle and it is more situational. So I'm trying to get a better idea from other players' point of view.

I've been getting mixed reviews so far.  Some party prefer the WHM to just step back and stick to healing and not waste mana on DPS and just throw some DoT every now and then to just be the passive supportive role, some prefer that the WHM be more active, put up cleric stance and also contribute to DPS.

What would you expect or prefer your WHM in your party to do? --Other than the obvious, make sure nobody dies.

Also, for attribute distribution, I read some guides say that we should dump them in VIT more than MND for Titan. Darklight doesn't give enough Vit for survival for Titan? @-@;

Here I thought my internet was the culprit of being unable to avoid even if I'm far from the red zone. Also noticed that when casting spell, there are times when I can still move.

I tried the method above and it helped. @v@ helped a lot in dodging those red zones, thanks again for sharing, Mion.
