It’s recommended that players should form a group in the server that they’re in. Here’s what I recommend:

- Have three healers (two WHM, and one SCH)
- 2 Melee DPS (DGN and MNK)
- 2 Ranged DPS (BRD and SMN/BLM)
- 1 Tank

To make it a lot easier to everyone, I recommend that everyone should have at least 75% Darklight Gear.

Strategy

Simply know the following moves that he will do and learn how to dodge it:

PHASE ONE
Landslide
This is a frontal line attack of Titan. You will see him casting it as a line will appear coming from him. If you see it, move as soon as possible. If you get hit, you will get damaged and will get a knockback.

Tumult (Stomp)
In this phase, Titan will stomp the ground two times. Make sure that healers are ready to pop AOE heals (don’t overheal!).

Repeat

Transition to Phase Two: Geocrush
Titan will transition to his second phase when you see him jump. Once that happens, a red circle will appear. Make sure to stack where the tank is and DO NOT go on the RED line. Have the healers ready for AOE heals and if you have a SCH in your group, use Sacred Soil.

PHASE TWO
Weight of the Land
Remember that Radiant Plumes from Ifrit fight? Apparently, Titan will have that move as well but he calls it Weight of the Land. As soon as Titan goes back to the ground, the next move that he will do is the Weight of the Land. Two-three will spawn on the battlefield and it’s imperative that you dodge it.

Landslide
Same thing as the first Phase. Simply dodge its frontal line attack if you don’t want to get pushed back. (NOTE: The area where you’re standing it will get narrower)

Tumult
He will do two stomps. Healers be ready to pop AOE heals. If you are a SCH, you cast your Aldoquin ability to lessen the first damage.

Repeat

Transition to Phase Three: Geocrush
Just like before, stack where the tank is and prepare for a massive AOE heal. Healers should be ready to pop Medica II to get everyone back to 100% health.

PHASE THREE
Landslide

Weight of the Land

Bombs
Titan will cast a series of ticking bombs around the area. To evade it, look for the first bomb that drops and make sure you remember it. As the bombs drop, you should go at the spot where the last bomb drops. As soon as the first one explodes, go there.

Landslide

Weight of the Land

Granite Goal
Just like in normal phase, Titan will randomly turn someone into stone. As soon as this happens, have the DPS take them down pronto.

Tumult
Expect a series of stomps from Titan. As always, healers should be ready to pop AOE heals.

Repeat

Transition to heart phase: Geocrush
After Titan reaches a certain amount of HP, he will once again do Geocrush, indicating that he’s about to do its heart phase.

PHASE FOUR - The Heart Phase
This is a DPS race. Make sure that the group has at least two Limit Break bars (at least two) and have either the Monk or Dragoon use it. The group’s main goal here is to take out the heart before Titan finishes its first cycle of rotation.

Here’s the rotation:

Granite Gaol
Have every DPS in the group take out the rock.

Landslide

Weight of the Land

Tumult

Granite Goal
The second rock should be IGNORED until the heart is down. Make sure the DPS is focusing on the heart. If the group succeeds in taking down the heart of Titan, they have several seconds to break the rock before he does his Earthern Fury. If the group fails to take down his heart before he jumps in the air, he will wipe you all out.

Transition to last phase: Earthcrush
If the group succeeds in taking down the heart, the Earthcrush move that Titan will do will only deal half of everyone’s HP. Make sure healers are on point with their healing as soon as Titan gets back on the ground.

FINAL PHASE
This is where the fun starts. The final phase is one of the hardest since there will be a lot of mechanics that everyone needs to learn. Once every single move of Titan is memorized by everyone, it will be easy for everyone to dodge and know what’s coming. The move that can wipe the entire group is Tumult as the amount of stomps he does will increase depending on how long he stays alive.

Here’s the rotation and my tips:

Mountain Buster
The moment Titan finishes with his Earthcrush move, the healers have several seconds to make sure the tank has full HP. When Titan casts his Mountain Buster, the tank will have somewhere between 3-4K damage. Make sure there’s a healer dedicated in keeping the HP of the tank in check.

Tumult
It will first start with around three to four stomps that deals around 600-700 damage each. If the group has a SCH, make sure they cast Adloquin just before Titan casts its Tumult move. If there is no SCH, the White Mages can use the VIRUS cross-ability they learned from leveling the Arcanist to 15.

Weight of the Land

Bombs

Landslide
Titan will cast Landslide while there are bombs in the area. Make sure you go to the last bomb being dropped and immediately run to the first one that explodes to evade it. Don’t get distracted by Landslide!

Mountain Buster
Again, make sure the healer of the tank is making sure their HP is at 100% before Titan cast its Mountain Buster move.

Weight of the Land

Granite Goal

Landslide

Repeat
The more cycle he does in his rotation, the more stomps he will do in his Tumult move. When the group reaches to a point where Titan does six to eight stomps, have the tank cast its Limit Break. It’s recommended that you do this when Titan is at 10-15% HP.

Strategy

First Phase
The first phase of this fight is somewhat similar to the story mode where the group will have to hide behind the rock to evade Garuda’s frontal wind gale attack. Have the tank always hold Garuda to where she’s standing regardless where she teleports. Have the range DPS stand on either the left or right side, which is away from the pillars. The rule still stands in terms of preserving the stone pillars since that will help negate Garuda’s AOE attack during the Reckoning transition phase once Garuda reaches 50% of health.

The four stone pillars is still a priority and DPS should take down the razor plumes as fast as possible. Maximizing DPS output is recommended, that way they can take down the adds fast and focus on Garuda.

Here is the order where Garuda will teleport:

1st: North, the spot where she’s originally at.
2nd: Middle of the four pillars
3rd: East (to the right of where she initially spawned)
4th: Middle, No raid damage here but expect her to summon razor plumes.
5th: Middle, this is the Reckoning transition to Phase Two.

Before hitting the Reckoning transition phase, make sure that everyone is healed; have the White Mage cast Medica II for an added regen effect. Just before Garuda unleashes her AOE whirlwind fury, have the Scholar cast Sacred Soil and everyone should stack under it. If there are still standing pillars around and you successfully get to the Scholar’s Sacred Soil buff that greatly negates damage, you don’t have to worry about wiping. After the transitional phase, have both healers cast AOE heals to get everyone’s HP up.

Phase Two
The second phase of Garuda fight is tough and will require everyone to pay attention. After the reckoning phase, tornadoes will appear and you will have a small portion of the area where the tank has to hold her. Make sure the tank pulls Garuda to the west side of the map but be careful not to touch the tornado. Be sure that Garuda is facing away from the group since she will do her cleave attack.

Several seconds after the tank positions her, Garuda will summon two minion adds that will make this fight hard and challenging. Before the two adds appear, Garuda will disappear for a brief second. During this time, make sure that the White Mage DOES NOT use Medica II as aggro will reset and there’s a high change the adds will come after the mage. When these two adds appear, you will see a green and red thread. The off-tank in the group, preferably a Warrior will have to tank these adds just beside the main tank but not very close. Off-tank should watch out for a cleave attack similar to Garuda.

The add with the green thread will be healing the boss while the one with a red thread will deal a huge amount of damage. It’s important for the DPS to take down the green add (she does very little damage and have low HP). If the group has high DPS, the green add should go down within seconds. Once she’s down, focus on the red add, while making sure they don’t come after the healers.

As soon as the adds are dead, Garuda will start to move around. During this time, the group will be rotating clockwise around the room. Green tornadoes will follow. The group needs to stay close to Garuda, which is right behind her. The razor plume will spawn but you only have to kill ONE SPECIFIC plume and that’s the Satin Plume. Ignore the regular razor plumes since they only deal little damage. For the Satin Plume, it’s important that DPS takes it down fast since there’s a tendency it will sleep a random party member. Healers make sure that you cast a lot of AOE heals during the rotating phase.

Phase Three
When the group ends up to the northern side of the map, run to the middle and this will be the start of phase three. In this phase, it’s pretty much the same as the story mode. Make sure everyone gets inside the circle and not outside the purple void/whirldwind.

While the tank is tanking Garuda (make sure it’s facing away from the group), she will summon the two minion adds once again. Again, kill the green ones then focus on the red ones. To make things easier, have the BLM or SMN use the Level 3 Limit Break. Using LB will put the adds’ HP down to at least 1/4 making it easier. During this phase, watch out for the cleave once again of the adds and Garuda.

After the adds are down, Garuda will do the things she did in Phase 2. Have the tank kite her to the NORTH side of the room and prepare to rotate clockwise again. If the group has enough DPS, she should be down before you get in the middle.

Guide

Roles

Tank: One of the tank’s roles in this fight is to make sure they’re holding Ifrit’s threat. The other Tank will have to use their stun ability to prevent Ifrit from using one of his most powerful abilities called Eruption. Since there’s a tendency for Ifrit to keep casting this, the off-tank should focus in using their Stun ability to prevent a wipe out.

Healer: A White Mage and a Scholar will always work best in any given fight. However, if there are two of the same thing, that’s fine. For the Healer’s job, it’s important that one should focus in healing the tank while others heal the rest of the group. However, both should be ready to help each other out in times all of the members in the group need healing. Using Saint Shroud is highly recommended for White Mage to make sure that their MP is always regenerating. Use Level 3 Limit Break as an emergency to do a massive Raise.

DPS: The DPS in the group should focus in attacking Ifrit. At some point where Ifrit will launch four needles like in regular mode, a Summoner or a Black Mage should Limit Break it to kill off the nails. Make sure to reserve the first limit level 3 limit break to BLM or SMN. If there are no Black Mages or Summoner in the group, it would be hard to take down the nails just in time before Ifrit rages and wipe the party out.

Strategy

Ifrit’s Health: 100% â€" 85%
During this phase, the fight is pretty much easy. The tank should expect the flame wave and a knockback that deals very little damage. For casters, make sure you stay away from Ifrit’s range to prevent your spells from being canceled.

Ifrit’s Health: 84% â€" 75%
Ifrit will add a new move and that’s Eruption. For the off-tank in the group, make sure they use stun or interrupt Ifrit from casting Eruption. If left uninterrupted, Ifrit will cast a massive explosion somewhere around the area and will deal a massive amount of damage to those affected by it. As he drops HP, he will continue to use Eruption and spam the whole area with it.

Following Eruption, Ifrit will jump into the air and land at any spot outside the map. He will then do a frontal rush attack. If you are in his line of sight, you will receive big damage. This move is easily preventable. Simply go to the outer side.

Ifrit’s Health: 74% â€" 51%
This time, there will be two Ifrit’s rushing one a time to any area of the field. Make sure you evade them as it can deal a massive damage to the group once again. After the frontal rush attack, Ifrit will then use Radiant Blast. The pattern is usually this: Radiant Blast around the outside map (move inside to avoid), Radiant Blast in the middle (move outside), and the Frontal Rush attack.

Ifrit’s Health: 50%
At 50% Health, Ifrit will launch four nails. Just like in regular mode, if the group can’t take them down, it’s an automatic wipe out since Ifrit will rage. To prevent Ifrit from raging, make sure the Black Mage or Summoner in the group will use the level 3 limit break to AOE the Nails. Using AOE LB should damage the nails significantly, giving everyone enough time to take them down within 60 seconds.

As soon as the nails are done, Ifrit will cast Hellfire, damaging everyone. Make sure the healers use AOE heals as everyone’s HP will be reduced to less than 50%. At this point, the level 3 limit break should be saved for the Healers, just in case they will need to Raise more than one party member.

Ifrit’s Health: 49% â€" Below
After using Hell Fire, Ifrit will be using the same abilities he had in the previous phases: Frontal Charge Attack, Eruption, and Radiant Blast.

Here’s the new pattern that he will now use until he dies:

1. Radiant Blast on the outer ring â€" make sure the players move inside
2. Radiant Blast inside â€" make sure the players move outside
3. Radiant Blast covering almost the entire area. Stack on the boss.
4. Frontal Charge attack featuring three Ifrits.
