Wildstar / Recommended Addons

I recommend using Curse installer as the manager for the add-ons. Alternatively you will want to locate the hidden AppData directory in your User folder.

Personally I found the below-mentioned useful (and running them on my setup):

Always read the additional requirements at the bottom of the information pane.

~ Eliminate the boss within 3 or 5 minutes: Just go straight to the boss and finish it within the stipulated time without completing the other conditions.

~ Kill 40 mobs: Just complete one of the conditions above the additional condition, then complete this additional condition before eliminating the boss.

~ Kill 30 mobs or Eliminate the boss within 10 minutes: If you have the capability to finish one condition, the additional condition (if it is kill 30 mobs) and eliminating the boss within 3 minutes, then you will get an A. Otherwise, complete two conditions, the additional condition (if it is kill 30 mobs) and eliminating the boss to get an A.

~ No serious injury or not more than 5 times serious injury: Finish any two condition, then proceed to eliminate the boss.

Happy farming! :D

After posting the guide on how to search for school badge packages in the trade center, I decided to write a post regarding the exchange service offered by the School Item Exchange NPC.

The following are the respective locations of the NPC within the school:
RG          (359 -165)
Beggar    (556 337)
Scholar    (560 292)
Wanderer (253 14)
Tangmen  (999 -153)
Emei        (705 -20)
Wudang   (540 416)
Shaolin     (1024 298)

As you may have noticed, these are exactly the same NPCs you talk to regarding 2NG exchange using your School Honor Certs.

To exchange your School Honor Certs for the School Badge Package, talk to the NPC and click on the 'Exchange' button on the right of the window.

Then purchase a 'Gold String' for 50L silver (unbound), then purchase the School Badge Package (requirements: You have at least 100 School Honor Certs and 1 Gold String). Congratulations! You are now in the possession of a cargo worth 400L to 1D!

Please note that once you right click on the package and loot its contents, the certs will become BOUND to you again. So avoid being curious or 'click-happy'. To avoid accidentally looting bags and packages during trade or mail, use the left mouse button to click on the package ONCE (contrary to popular Windows and MMO habits of click and dragging items using the left mouse button, all it takes is just a simple left click on the item); you will notice that the mouse cursor turns into the icon of that package and you can safely place it into the trade or mail window.

Happy Trading / Selling guys!

p.s. Do keep 600 certs for own use if you are exchanging for 2NG31 to 2NG36. To be 'future-proof', keep another 1815 certs for 3NG.

Greetings fellow Einsof!

As you may have noticed, I have been spamming world and guild chat to buy Emei, Shaolin and Wanderer Honor Badge Packages at 500L for 100 pieces.

Most of you may already know this, but I will share for the benefit of everyone.

Under 'All the Cargo' tab, click on sub-tab 'Other', then sub-sub-tab 'Special Item' (the last tab of that sub-tub), and search for 'Jade' quality items (select 'Jade' and click refresh). Tada! You found the unbound honor badge packages! The most active markets can been found in Chengdu, followed by Suzhou.

Please note that the price varies for each school and range between 400L to 1D per package. Once the package have been right clicked and its contents looted, they are BOUND to you. So take care when handling them.

caveat emptor

p.s. How many badges exactly do you need in order to exchange for the desired purpose?

Answers:

2NG Level 1 to Level 10 = 15 per cert x 10 = 150 certs in total
2NG Level 11 to Level 20 = 20 per cert x 10 = 200 certs in total
2NG Level 21 to Level 30 = 25 per cert x 10 = 250 certs in total

Therefore 2NG Level 1 to Level 30 = 150 + 200 + 250 = 600 certs in total

* For Meridian activation, all you need is 2NG20 for that specific school. So you only need to buy 2NG Level 1 to Level 20, which sums up to 400 certs in total (because you can only purchase them in the 100s). Save the remaining 50 certs for 3NG.

** For use of the 2NG of a particular school, 2NG30 will be the max you can go, so 600 certs will get you there.

*** How to exchange the certs after you got enough badges? Just travel to the respective schools and click on the School Item Exchange NPC.

Hello Konoka and all,

Previously stated in the organizational plan, the priority was:

Main Hall --> 1
Guild Warehouse --> 1
Library --> 1
Training Hall --> 1

Are we still following that order? Just wanted to confirm before sending in donations (especially unbound silver).

Age Of Wushu / How long it takes
December 29, 2012, 07:07:06 AM
Just a heads-up for people who want to invest time and effort in being self sufficient.

Detailed breakdown of 6 characters:
* (Main) Herbalist: Chess, Mining, Hunting, Fishing, Farming, Woodcutting.
* Cook: Hunting, Fishing, Farming.
* Tailor: Hunting, Farming.
* Blacksmith: Mining, Woodcutting.
* Poisonmaker: Fishing, Farming.
* Craftsman: Musician, Mining, Woodcutting.

Playing 6 characters each with at least 2 gathering skill, cultural skill, manufacturing trade; plus doing 5 spying missions and 2 rounds of TP for the main character takes about 6 to 7 hours daily. Add a run of TV common and 6 runs of any influence, that may easily take up to 8 to 10 hours daily.

Recommended way of capping daily skill limit:
* Herbalist: Apprentice task plus manufacturing medicine.
* Cook: Apprentice task plus gem game.
* Tailor: Apprentice task plus manufacturing clothing.
* Blacksmith: Apprentice task plus gem game.
* Poisonmaker: Apprentice task plus manufacturing poison.
* Craftsman: Apprentice task plus gem game.

Age Of Wushu / [Craft] Chef
December 22, 2012, 12:14:16 AM
IGN: LinChaoYing

Just to cover cost of mats for 10 buns and 1 bird (pigeon), I suggest charging 600wen per 10buns and 100wen for bird. Please note that you must have tradable silver for cod between players. This is just a rough estimate as I did not take into account the durability reduction of cooking and farming tools or the imposed tax. For trade with other players (non-guildies), I don't know the current going rate atm.

I will do my best to craft when my main (WangCongYang) has finished his daily spies and chess/herb for the day.

Age Of Wushu / [Guide] Farming Medals
December 20, 2012, 12:48:01 PM
Source: http://tw.meetgee.com/MiniSite/Topic/View.aspx?ID=2047257&GameID=7832

Medals are considered to be the staple currency besides silver. They are required for access to weekly school tournaments, second and beyond inner skills, and school-specific legendary skills.

There are mainly six ways of obtaining medals (descending order based on cost-effectiveness):
1. Spying: For both main and alts.
2. School War: Only suitable for main characters and not alts.
3. Script Stealing Event (Stealing or Defending): Only suitable for main characters and not alts.
4. Patrolling: Only suitable for main characters and not alts.
5. Forbidden Instances: It seems like only during holidays there are medals as bonus.
6. Gift Pack (from Cash Shop): Exchange 7 medals for 2 gift packs. Only open one gift pack a day. Save the other for the next day. Doing this on a daily basis allows you to have surplus packs to open without the need for exchange.

So in the end, Spying is the most cost-effective in earning medals. If a person does his daily spying quest of completing 5 spying missions, he will earn 140 medals by the end of the week (which will be valid for the exchange of second inner skill entry-level manual). If a person has multiple accounts, he will have more medals as he can pass all medals to his main.

It is critical for characters to have the dashing, wall-climbing and double/triple jumping movement skills to make spying easier.

Below is the 7 step process to optimize the use of the weekly 20 Spying Tally given by the Grandmaster of the school:
1. Accept spying mission from Grandmaster, use the Spying Tally and be teleported to School A Spying NPC. Set your teleport point at School A Spying NPC.
2. Accept the spying quest from the NPC, complete the spying mission, then Break own meridians to get back to School Medicine Hall. Hand-in the mission.
3. Teleport to the School A Spying NPC, accept and complete the mission, then suicide by jumping or drowning to get back to School Medicine Hall. Hand-in the mission. (Break meridians on CD)
4. Use Spying Tally to teleport to NPC, accept and complete the mission, then suicide by jumping or drowning to get back to School Medicine Hall. Hand-in the mission. (Break meridians on CD, Teleport on CD)
5. Use Spying Tally to teleport to NPC, accept and complete the mission, then suicide by jumping or drowning to get back to School Medicine Hall. Hand-in the mission. (Break meridians on CD, Teleport on CD)
6. Teleport to the School A Spying NPC, accept and complete the mission, then Break own meridians to get back to School Medicine Hall. Hand-in the mission.
7. Rinse and repeat the next day for another school.

Some people might question the basis of spying the same school 5 times in a day as the weekly task only requires 4 times of the same school. The advantage here is that this is a fixed and stable routine that uses only 3 Spying Tally to complete the daily task of completing 5 spying missions. Furthermore the 20 Spying Tally can last all the way to the end of the week before reset.

So how to suicide when Break own meridians is on CD?
Being killed by mobs and players will have a silver penalty, so the best way is to jump off cliffs or drown.
The following are the optimized ways of suicide based on location:
1. Wudang: Jumping off the cliff.
2. Shaolin: Jumping off the cliff.
3. Emei: Jumping off the cliff, but must aim for ground as there are too many bodies of water. Drown if not possible to hit the ground.
4. Tangmen: Jumping off the cliff, but must aim for ground as there are too many bodies of water. Drown if not possible to hit the ground.
5. Wanderer: Jumping into the fiery chasm is the best choice.
6. Royal Guard: Without wall climbing skill, suicide is not easy here.
7. Scholar: Finding a building to jump off is going to be challenging.
8. Beggar: Terrain is too flat. Get the help of mob to die will be best.

Note on exchanging medals for inner skill scripts:
There is a Jianghu Influence requirement besides having the required amount of medals.
Second Inner: Minimum 30'000 Jianghu Influence.
Third Inner: Minimum 70'000 Jianghu Influence.

For Alts, just following the main story will net you 10'000 Jianghu Influence.

The cost-effective way of getting influence is by farming Twilight Village as each completion yields around 3'000 influence.

Another cheapo way to gain influence is to apprehend wanted criminals through multi-clienting. Let alt kidnap and main apprehend.

Age Of Wushu / [Tip] Guild expansion
November 25, 2012, 11:42:38 AM
http://9yin.duowan.com/1110/182259478313.html

There are a total of 5 levels for Guild atm.

The initial cost for setting up of Guild is 5 Silver (not Silver Coins).

When 4 members successfully joins the Guild within 3 days after setting up, it will be an official guild. If not, it will be disbanded.

When guild popularity hits 50, and there is 20 Liang Silver in the guild funds, the Guild Leader must approach the Guild Administrator to upgrade the guild to level 2.

Guild popularity is the sum of all the number of active hours per character within the guild. Therefore, if there are 50 members in the guild, and each played for a full hour, the guild popularity will hit 50 in an hour.

I will follow-up with a post explaining about the function of the various buildings after I finish doing house chores.

Age Of Wushu / [Q&A] Stage 2 Internal Skill (Neigong)
November 20, 2012, 03:46:46 PM
There are generally two ways of getting the stage 2 internal skill (neigong).

First way is to reach Stage 1 Internal Skill, Level 30. Now let us term it as 1NG30. Your school master will give you quest for it then.

Second way is to pump your Jianghu influence to 30k and beyond. You will then be able to exchange your School Tokens for the stage 2 Internal Skill. Note that the exchange method does not require you to be 1NG30. You can raise your Jianghu influence through Jianghu Instances like Salt Gang, Tiger Mountain, Green Cloud Castle, etc.
