Not sure if I should be semi-lurking in these forums, since I'm not in the Einsof (or any FC), but I like what you said about chatting and making friends.

the part of MMOs that I used to enjoy the most was chatting with random folks and making friends, but I find that most players don't tend to do that anymore.

That is actually one of the reasons why I am reluctant to join clans/FC/guilds in my MMOs nowadays - sadly a lot of players I encounter are only online for the loot, for the progression, for- well, the greed.  They log on, grind the raids, then log off.

The more fuller clans I find are usually filled with "progression" players like these, who go off in their own little clicks and spend all their time doing dungeon grinds and have no time for socialising.  It's like a job for them.  :(

Whereas the smaller clans usually have people who rarely log on, or log on at random times so most of the players don't actually get to chat or play with each other, or folks who have purchased the box but are not re-subbing beyond the first month.  Or worse, members who are only there temporarily, just until they have gotten a few more levels and can join a "progression" clan.

Sorry for sounding so jaded btw.  Not trying to troll the forums here, and not trying to be negative, but meh, I'm getting older and just not used to the modern style of gaming I guess.

Anyways I signed up for your site a while back, thinking you guys might be a potential FC for me to join, but I haven't really done anything beyond popping into the forums every once in a while.  What are the folks in Einsof like?  Friendly?  Social?  Likely to make me a sandwich?  And what is the focus of the FC?  Are you guys a bunch of hardcore progression players?  Or a bunch of casual social folks?

Btw ingame name is Bcanimus Alander, I'm from NZ, playing in the GMT+12-ish timezone.  I have a weird sense of humour but I'm a decent bloke...  kinda - feel free to say 'ello if any of any of yous are on around the same time!

No sandwich for you! :D Make your own sandwich~

I'd say it's a mix of hardcore and casual. There's no rush. Some of them chat a lot but of course...

there will always be ninjas~

We haz Raidcall :D

For the record I'm not against raiding or loot btw - in fact I have done the whole hardcore progression thing myself for a while myself, but I find that more often than not they tend to exclude and break people apart, especially in the more modern MMO setting.

Anyways @Endless I've read a couple of your posts on these forums - loving your humour and attitude mate.  Keep it up, the world definitely need more folks like you.  I'm telling you though, it's not gonna last - in a few years time you'd be just like me, all jaded and skeptical, and spending your free time sitting outside the house, screaming at invisible kids to get off your damn lawn, meh.

I beg to differ. I have joined guilds that chat a lot and play together and this is one of them. Raiding everyday like a robot is boringgggggg and stressful for me, and I am sure the others feel the same. There might not be much chatting over here since most of it takes place in game.

FC is, to me, not just about progression and raiding. Most of the guild I join before are more social and casual but...

Ah.. I don't know. I just find myself more quiet these past few weeks. I guess it's partially because I'm not Level 50 yet. Whenever there are people asking to group up for parties, I find I'm not at the right level or right job class to help so I've just been concentrating on my own progression.

I'm aware it's taking longer than usual because I always get sidetracked with crafting and gathering. x_x But I think I might reach Level 50 this week. I'll just go Bluefog and find a fate party there. Can't progress to my next story quest unless I level, zzz...

I also stopped coming to the forum for a while because it's er... so quiet. lol.. ^^;

Hi guys,

I'm actually new to this FC. So to start off hellow!

I heard about this FC from some friends (Endless being one of them). Prior to that I've only ever been in an FC setup by them. Thanks to them they helped me score an invite to this FC.

In any case, it would be great to make friends through the FC. I'm not a hardcore player, due to time and commitment constraints so I am not always able to join in on the FC runs / raids. Happy to help whenever I can though. I play from Perth, Australia at GMT+08:00 timing. IGN: Ritoru Kyodaina.

I think Endless' post here http://einsofgaming.com/forums/index.php/topic,488.0.htm (http://einsofgaming.com/forums/index.php/topic,488.0.htm)l makes a lot of sense. Building the community :)

Thumbs up to to the setup of the forum and the FC too. Awesome work!

I actually share the same sentiments, the mainstream stuff done are more endgame and less 1-50 progression. I felt compelled to get my first 50 before I can get more active. Maybe we need some newbie or people-leveling-their-alt events that are less hardcore. I mean, it's a big FC, people are bound to be doing things at various parts of story progression.

Right now, the most effective way to level an alt class would be through FATEs coz the story quests are not repeatable ): That said, we can help in low level dungeons whenever possible.

I wouldn't mind helping out in lower level dungeons if you need a healer and if I'm not in the middle of a leve or dungeon.

I did most of mine in duty finder with JP parties while leveling but I'm not sure how it is now that more and more people are hitting 50. But with the implementation of duty roulette, we'll be seeing more people will be revisiting the lower level dungeons.

I did my lower level dungeons via JP DFs too, but actually with such a big FC I thought it made sense that people leveling around the same levels run dungeons/FATE together.

I guess we are all too shy to ask. :x

I'd like to do some lower dungeons as  a tank or a healer so that I'm totally clueless at 50. Msg me if I'm online. =)

It depends. If nobody bothers to ask in the FC chat, then nobody will know what is going on. Most of the members in the FC are mainly maxed cap at Level 50 already. Anyway, FCs or rather Guilds, consists of people from all walks of life. We can't possibly control the people, but we do encourage them to help out whenever possible. It is up to them if they wish to help out or not. We do have people of the same levels running dungeons and fates together, you are probably not online at that point of time. As for me, I help out whenever I am free to do so. I also completed mostly every quests/ fates/ chimera/ hydra/ primals, etc via Duty Finder and public groups, with occasional help from the FC when there are people who are free to help out. Also, all my relics I got are from Duty Finder.

Ohh, I'm leveling DPS class also, one at 30 (BLM) and one at 20+ (ACN), I wouldn't mind trying them out in dungeon. :3 Got any quests or just want to jump into a dungeon with this level range, lemme know.

I'm also thinking of maybe trying gladiator > paladin. I actually have a low level one.. but in NA/EU because that's where I go if JP server have maintenance and so I could also watch the exclusive cut scenes for the starting city. けほ

Think I'll be doing tanks and healers next as I have two decked out dps. =D So either way is fine. I have an ACN at 35.. then both tanks at 18. If I'm on, don't mind doing any dungeon.

I guess it will be possible with duty roulette. Hard mode dungeons are at level 50 if I'm not mistaken. ^^;
