Q: Are the pre-order bonuses attached to the entire Square Enix account? Or is it just a registration code we activate on specific service accounts?
A: Pre-order bonuses attach to an FFXIV service account, so all characters on that service account will be able to receive the pre-order bonuses.

Q: Will it be possible to register the PS3 version's pre-order bonuses on the Windows version?
A: Yes, this will be possible. By inputting the product code enclosed with the PS3 version into your PS3, you will be able to choose to add the PS3 version to either an existing FFXIV service account or a new FFXIV service account. If you choose to add it to an FFXIV existing service account, the pre-order bonuses will be applied to that FFXIV service account.

Q: For people who purchased the 1.0 Collector's Edition, it was said that the bonuses would be distributed via Mog Letters; however, will these still be distributed even if we didn't input any codes?
A: Users who purchased and registered the FFXIV version 1.0 Collector's Edition, the bonus items will be sent by Mog Letter without having to input any additional codes. Users who purchased the FFXIV version 1.0 Collector's Edition but did not register the code will need to input the Collector's Edition registration code.

Q: Are the pre-order bonuses only for online purchase? If you pre-order at a retail store will be bonuses still be included?
A: Pre-orders have begun today for both online purchases and retail stores as well. Please note that this may differ from store to store, so it's a good idea to confirm with the retailer beforehand.

Q: Legacy members are being given Early Access, so does that mean they will also be receiving the Mog Cap and Cait Sith Doll Minion?
A: No, players who have fulfilled the criteria for the Legacy Campaign are only being granted early access to the game.

Q: Will people who have the 1.0 Collector's Edition be able to apply the pre-order bonus in-game items and early access rights to their old accounts if they pre-order the standard PC version of the game?
A: When registering the pre-order bonus code you will be able to select which FFXIV service account the bonus is applied to.

Q: If someone who purchased the 1.0 Standard Edition wants the FFXIV: A Realm Reborn Collector's Edition in-game bonus items, is it possible to obtain these by buying the Collector's Edition digital upgrade? Or will it be necessary to purchase the Standard Edition of ARR as well as the digital upgrade?
A: You simply need to purchase the Collector's Edition digital upgrade.

Q: If I am playing on NA account, am I able to play with my friends on EU account?
A: Yes. There is no region lock. You will be able to play with your friends on the same server/ world.

Q: Where can I purchase the game?
A: http://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/en/product

Q: There is no Singapore on the list when I register, what should I do?
A: If your game is NA region, register an account under the NA region. If you game is EU region, register an account under UK. -Why UK and not other EU regions? -Monthly Sub fees under UK is slightly cheaper due to the conversion rates.

Q: Will there be game time cards for FFXIV: ARR?
A: Yes. It has been announced that there will be game time cards. Availability varies for different countries.

Q: When is the official release of the game?
A: 27 August 2013.

Q: When is beta phase 4?
A: 17 to 19 August. (16 to 19 for those who were in phase 3).

Q: How do I get into beta phase 4?
A: You can't if you have not registered for it. The beta registration is closed.

Q: Are there any level caps on beta phase 4?
A: Yes. Level 20 is the cap.

Q: Will there be any wipes on beta phase 4?
A: No. Unless there is a game-breaking glitch/ bug, which will then be decided by the developers if a wipe is necessary.

Q: When is the early access?
A: 24 to 26 August. No downtime from 26 to 27 August.

Q: How do I join your Free Company/ Linkshell?
A: Submit an application at http://einsofgaming.com/ffxivarrapply

Q: Does your Free Company/ Linkshell accept new players?
A: Yes, we do. Both casual and hardcore players are welcome too.

Q: Which server will your Free Company/ Linkshell be on?
A: Masamune.

Q: Why Masamune and not other servers?
A: 1) Masamune is the unofficial Oceanic/ SEA/ SG server for both Legacy and New players. 2) We have a group of Legacy players and of course, we cannot leave them behind.

Q: Why JP server and not NA server?
A: The latency on JP server is much lower than NA server. Most of us get 80-100ms on JP server and 300+ms on NA server.

Q: Can new players join Masamune?
A: Yes. of course. Masamune accommodates both New and Legacy players.

Q: Will I lose out on a lot of things if I join a Legacy server as a New player?
A: Not really. Many of the Legacy players will likely try out the new class/ job which means they will start as level 1 again. On other note, you will get to enjoy a stabilized community and need not worry about monopoly where it may happen on new servers. On the new servers, a group of people will probably rush to the top and farm in order to monopolize the market.

Q: Who do I contact for an invite to the Free Company/ Linkshell after I have applied?
A: We will update our officers' contacts after we create our characters. This is to safeguard their name from being taken/ copied. We will give an update on our twitter, facebook and forums.

Q: Will your Free Company/ Linkshell be doing raids and dungeons?
A: Yes, of course.

Q: Will your Free Company/ Linkshell do some PvP?
A: Yes, of course.

Q: Will your Free Company/ Linkshell have your own housing?
A: Yes, of course.

Q: Is voice chat/ mic compulsory for your Free Company/ Linkshell?
A: No, not compulsory but you are encouraged to join us on Raidcall. Though, it will be compulsory to listen on Raidcall for the raids as communication is crucial for raiding.

Q: Is there a similar database site for FFXIV: ARR like WoWhead, Rifthead, your head, my head?
A: The closest thing so far is http://xivdb.com

If anybody have any questions to ask about FFXIV: ARR, feel free to post them and we will do our best to answer. At the same time, we can compile it to the list of FAQs. Thanks!

Good day, I've tried buying the game for digital download but I could not seem to even get past payment.  They asked for an address and all which I provided; however, there was no confirmation of purchase after that and it's been several hours...

I really want to try this game, please help, anyone?

Where are you from, and where have you ordered the game from? GMG and Amazon have blocked Singapore from their order list. The only edition that can be pre-ordered using a Singapore address is the physical standard edition from Amazon.

Hi, I'm from Singapore and will be playing from Singapore.

I have ordered the game from SquareEnix main page for the CE Digital Copy.

I am currently trying to find a way to register the game but am having difficulty circumventing the limitations they have placed on countries which are not on their "serviced list".

Unfortunately, it seems that the SE store has also blocked SG from pre-ordering. I'm not sure about proxies and the like, but if you want to pre-order through the "legit" way, the only way is to pre-order the physical Standard edition from Amazon.

It's pretty darn weird that Amazon blocks SG for digital edition, but not for physical. Trying to earn shipping fee from us maybe.

Lunakrystal

I'm somewhat disappointed in Square Enix's decision to block SG from buying from them; they need better market surveying. In any case, I probably have to resign to fate and just wait for the physical copy in SG.

I don't think they "block" sg, it's just that the SE store only allows supported regions to purchase from them, in which Singapore is not~

I also can't get it, why don't they add Singapore into the list.

Yep, they don't have any SEA countries in their list :(
My country is not there also so I just picked UK... because it seems EU is where they classify countries outside JP and USA.

I bought digital download from Greenman Gaming as per recommendation of my friend who also got his copy there.
