Thanks for the info, have been speaking with my friends and right now likely we'll be going to Masamune as well but we'll be setting up our own LS for a start then decide if we will be joining a free company or creating our own.

Yeah. I don't think it will be closed forever. Probably they will open it again batch by batch. So you may wish to keep trying or stay updated on when the transfer opens.

Btw my friends who bought from GMG have found out that the key are actually EU keys
So in accordance with my experience with FFXIV ver 1.0 you need a EU account to input this key when SE send it to you guys.

Do take note of this and create a EU account and apply for open beta or else you'll be screwed

used to be with u guys in GW2 but stopped due to RL commitments. Been thinking of whether I should play FFVX maybe need the opinions of those in Beta.

Can ask a few questions:

1.) Is the levelling very grind or is it quest driven like WOW or GW2?
2.) Being on a legacy server, would a newbie very disadvantaged?
3.) Being reading the preview, most people mentioned that it is like a WOW clone. Does this mean that there is end game raiding/dungeon?
4.) Lastly, I only social player. Can still get invite to guild?

1) So far there is no need to grind mobs. There are Grand Company quests, Class specific hunting logs, Grand Company specific hunting logs, Levemetes, Guildheists, Fate (Dynamic events), Side quests and Main story quests.

2) Not really. Most of the legacy players will probably start a new class. 1 character can have many class.

3) Yes, there are raids and dungeons.

4) Yep. Sure.
