Hi Anyone all WHM, :-*
I have been play WHM since ff14 start for the 1st day.
I didn't do any research about rotation at all until now.
I just use my pure feeling and to be honest I never know that WHM should have Rotation.
please share your tips and Rotation with me (and with our FC friend)
I will appreciate that a lot. 8)

Hmm... This is sort of a toughie.
Healers don't really have rotations, per se - instead you should think of your skills as a sort of toolbox; you have a set of tools, some for general use and others for very specific purposes.
What sets a great healer apart from merely good healers is that great healers know when to use which tool for which situation.
For example - using 2x Cures to top off a tank is ok, but if you know there's massive incoming raid damage, then why not pop Divine seal so you only use one Cure to top off the tank, then use Medica pre-casted so that once the raid damage comes you have Medica popping almost immediately.
As a more concrete example - let's take Titan HM. I see a lot of healers casting Medica for the first stomp, but I've found that it's actually more useful to go into Cleric stance for the first Medica if you're relic+1 with good gear - damage is low enough that cleric stance medica will still heal everyone, but you avoid overhealing (thus less aggro) and you can also get a few hits in Titan at the same time.
There's also some decisions to make when dealing with multiple tumults -
If you have no CDs aside from Seal available, then you wanna use Medica -> Medica II because medica casts that bit faster; using Medica II first might have some people dead before the heal lands. But if you have Presence of Mind/Swiftcast (and you know no one's gonna need a Raise), then suddenly Medica II -> Medica makes more sense because even if you have to interrupt the Medica cast, the regen from Medica II will top people up after a bit of time, although you might need to spot Cure someone who is particularly low and is prone to getting hit by plumes.
TL:DR - DPSing is a science, and so you have rotations to optimize your damage. Healing is an art; it's all about efficiency and knowing when to use the right skill for the right situation. It's much less structured.
Best healing advice I can give you is to familiarize yourself with all your skills; find out which skill is best used for this situation; and also know the fight - don't just babysit health bars and play whack-a-mole with them. Take some time to know the fight itself and learn to anticipate high damage phases you need to save mana and cooldowns up for, lull phases where you can recover mp and burn phases where you may need to help DPS.
Wow... Thx Alh for explanation. im appreciate. :-)
other Healer ? i wonder if we have other tips as well.
Thank :-D
I'm more of your kouhai (underclassman) when it comes to being WHM, Endy. I could still use a lot of work myself so I don't know if I can give good advice.
As for regular mobs... I took Alh's advice from a previous thread, I started putting Divine Seal into more use. After casting it, I top up the tank with Cure then add a Regen. Then, I put up cleric stance then start throwing debuff and DoTs in there before using Stone II (but they usually die before I can use Stone II.. lol)
So.. it's something like..
Divine Seal > Cure > Regen > Cleric Stance > Stone > Virus > Aero II > Aero I > Stone II >
If the dps start throwing AoEs, I move closer and cast Holy. Number of times depend on tank HP, healer MP and if Shroud can be activated after. Or if you have a bard in the party that likes to cast Mage Ballad.
Presence of Mind / Swiftcast - I don't think I utilize it very well yet. I tend to reserve it when the party is in a pinch, I'm still trying to find where else I can apply it.
Although in the beginning of some boss fights, I activate Presence of Mind sometimes, put up cleric stance and throw in the regular debuffs and DoT at the boss as fast as I can before it wears out before I switch cleric stance off.
Without cleric stance I still throw in debuffs and DoTs if no healing is needed, just so I'm not being idle.
:D
Thx Yarikh for replied me and your advised. I am sure that your thread will helpful with other WHM for sure.
and also It s very good to see you active in our FC forum.
many thx again 8)
Ahaha.. it's actually thanks to people who are posting more also. :)
I totally agreed what u guys said, u guys are AWESOME.
Healing:
- Use "Regen", "Presence of Mind"(5min CD) to increase spell speed & keep spamming "Cure I" to top Tank HP up, and hope for free cure to pop for saving mana. and standby ur benediction if u are using this, LOL
- If can't make it, "Regen", "Divine Seal(1min CD)" 30% cure potency then start spamming "Cure 1", so to get free cure and use "Cure II" when poped.
and most of the time "Presence of Mind" is not really useful for Speed run or COB b'coz of is CD is 5 mins but not to waste it I will use together when I need "Shroud Of Saints".
Well frankly speaking I still need to know well the boss fight in COB, in order to do well with the above rotation and to keep my mana up.... Turn 4 is the pain in the XXX....
- Titan FIght: I always do "Auto-fight" during pre-heart phase for LB. After heart I dun DPS, got time I rather
do Stonskin to some player including myself to help them survive for plume. after all is about to survive in fight.
- Titan: Before Table flip, I will pre-cast "Eye fo an eye", "Stonskin", and keep regen on at all time, use only "Cure II".
- Titan: Before or During Tumult, will be a macro "Divine Seal(1min)" + "Swift cast" + "Medica II" and remember RUN for plume!!! and cast again Medica or Cure III if need be.
- Titan Fight: I actually got 3 Fending accessories to boost my HP up to 4k..... LOL, well healer is just too important for this fight.....
Mana control:
- I always use a "Shroud Of Saints" when I see my MP at 70% just to keep my mana pool healthy.
- Macro a msg /p <se.1> Mage's Ballard Please.... ^ ^ when my MP below 50%.
Crowd control:
- I usually don't do, but if need be I will do usually in AK run..... using Repose aka "Sleep"
- Being a look out for Tonberry (Stabber) >.< msg /p <se.1> Move & cover. not just healer everyone should.
- Holy Holy Holy if got time to do that. using "Shroud Of Saint" should able to cover you back the MP.
PS for Tank: I would like to see more Tank to Macro their CD, so I won't be stupidly keep healing.....
eg. "Hallowed Ground" No Damage for 10 Sec..... (LOL REX)
Those are some nice insight for WHM in Titan, thanks Red :)
