I was wondering about what other MMORPG were you playing while waiting for the next stage of the closed beta ?
I m playing EvE Online and Lord Of The Rings Online. For those that may be interested by EvE Online, there is a 14 days free trial to test it.

I am playing nothing. Spending all day watching Khan Academy videos and studying for finals, and also making pages on the wiki when I get distracted. Plus a ton of being distracted by the Einsof and the AoW forums, and a little bit of being distracted by mangafox and animetake updates. Hm, yea, too much being distracted already, I won't pass this semester if I pick up a game this point in time lmao XDDD

Yes it is. It's quite an old game (released in 2003) but it had many extensions since its release and it has been upgraded a lot years after years on every aspects. It's a VERY smart game. BTW this is the 1st game that introduced a skill progression system based on real time. And it's a sandbox MMORPG, not a theme park.
People that may be interested by a Sci-Fi MMORPG should try it with the 14 days free trial. And i can help beginners which is a good thing when starting on this game ^^

what exactly does 'sandbox' mean? and what's 'theme park'? i've heard of the former, but never the latter ......
Well a theme park is a MMORPG "on trails" where you ll have a storyline to follow. For exemple, WOW is a theme park MMORPG. You have to go to certain places to XP according to your level. The sandbox type is the opposite of a theme park. You are free to progress as you wish and do whatever you want whenever you want.

Oh is RO2 out? I heard it was basically a 3D version of RO, is that true? What's it like? XD
It's pure crap. It's ugly for a 2012 MMORPG and it has a random gameplay like any other generic Asian F2P... they changed the card system so now you slot them and get a little bonus. It may be ok for people using very old computers but for me it's like playing a game released in 2000... not interesting at all.
RO2 is not following the origins of the first RO anymore.. RO2 has become a boring generic game whereby there are better games out there. Not worth to even touch it.
Awww is that so? Makes me sad T_T I spent a whole year on the original RO lols~~ got 3 lvl 98s until I got bored of grinding lol. but yea, I've got good memories in there. really sad to hear that RO2 is like that =(
Yep. It's sad. Season 2 of games are supposedly an upgrade and huge improvement from its predecessor, but it seems that RO2 failed instead. The last hope would be at end-game, and I've not reached there yet.

Now i just obtained the next type of ship : a cruiser (a Vexor). It's a ship that uses drones in addition of turrets to destroy targets ;D

do you get new ships that quickly? O_O i was under the impression that you had already gone pretty far into the game............
Well it takes longer later but i ve created a new account for this game. I haven't used my old one because i haven't played this game since a long time. So i wanted to start from 0 to get used to what they added since that i stopped playing. The next step concerning ships ll be battle cruisers. And it's going to take longer. because just having the ability to pilot a ship isn't enough. you also need skills to equip items for this ship. When you start it only takes a couple of hours to lvl up most skills to 3. But then it ll take days and even months to get skills for more advanced ships & equipment.
the steep exponential curve huh :P all games have it >.< (except GW2, yay!)
