Greetings to all fellow guildies, as CBT1 draws to a close we should reflect on all that we have learnt/all that we haven't and try to work upon them to improve our guild.

As such I hope that this topic that i have started will be a platform for us to discuss what we have/have not learnt from CBT1 and set goals for the next CBT and beyond.

Feel free to give suggestions on how the guild can improve and what needs to be done for us to go stronger together as a team :D

Hope to hear from everyone!!!

gaelyoh

Ill begin by suggesting that 1 of the main goals we should set for our guild is to have at least 1 elder in each sect from our guild :D much like what Demigods and INK are doing.

In order to achieve this goal we will need to be able to efficiently cultivate our internal skills to ensure that we are on top of the game. As such it is essential that we sort out issues about team practice as it is the fastest way to cultivate skills.

Lastly, the game has an extensive and comprehensive guild system. However most processes requires that our guild owns our own castle. However castles are limited and there are only a few spots, hence it is essential that we look into the castle mat contribution issue to ensure that we clinch one of the few castle spots. After which it will take a guild effort in order to ensure we dont lose the castle as other guilds begin to challenge our stronghold!!

At the moment those are some of my thoughts(as well as Konoka, capri and a few others) on how we can improve our guild :D

Perhaps we can come together for TP at GMT+8 7pm (GMT+1 12pm, PST 3am) everyday. To be fair, we can rotate schools for practice location as different places give different bonus.

As of now, gathering mats for the upgrade is not as important as getting to guild level 2 to purchase a territory. That will require 50 popularity points, which is tabulated by the total number of active hours of the members in the guild. For starters, the guild mats required for level 1 main hall is roughly 650 iron ingot, 320 copper ingots, 650 cedar wood, 320 cypress wood. Let us say that there are only 10 active members, so each member has to contribute 65 iron ingot (130 iron mine), 32 copper ingot (64 copper mine), 65 cedar wood, 32 cypress wood. Technically speaking it will take only 2 hours of farming to get that goal. Unbound silver will be not so much of a concern at the current level.

Next will be running escort missions in order to improve guild funds. It will be best to farm mats and run these escort missions early in the game as there are little or no offline patrols for spying and no 80k cult pts for TP. If each person runs 15 escort a day, we will easily hit the goal for escort daily too.

It seems like Cave environment is the most suitable for different schools to train together. So far I have only seen Cave environment in Shaolin but never on Wudang (although it is claimed to be 590 130 in Wudang).

Has anyone come across Cave environment?

Einzo

I will post up something this week to discuss and build up our Guild goals/ foundation/ council for Age of Wushu.

I agree with Gael's suggestion of having an expert in each school. At least that would give members someone to turn to when they have questions about their own school (ie their skill sets and school quest chains).

As for the guild castle system, I'm still not very sure how it works, and I haven't yet found English articles that detail it. It wouldn't be too late to think about this when official information comes out =)

As for the mat collecting quota, I'm not very sure how to do that. I mean, it's fine to impress a quota on the basic mats, but wouldn't it be hard for the higher ones? For example, for guild members who don't put a lot of time into training Mining might find it harder to collect copper ores (what if higher levels require even higher level ores?) Might have to think about that. I am in favor of a quota, though. Makes everything official :)

As for escort missions though, I'm afraid I'd have to express disagreement on 15 escorts a day. Maybe 1, maybe 2, maybe even 5, but 15 is just ridiculous. The shortest route (Chengdu --> Golden Shen Family) takes about 5 minutes (not including going back to the escort office), so 15 escorts per day means more than a whole hour! Of just walking, hoping that nothing happens :S  Again, I am in favor of a quota, but I think the amount needs to be re-thought.

I'm not sure about what environments provide bonuses to which schools. I think there is such information in Chinese, but I can't read Chinese so I am not sure. Only after we confirm an environment that provides bonuses to all schools should we do this. If such an environment doesn't exist, I think we should keep TP open-ended. Most of the time, I just did it with random people from my own school anyways, and it wasn't much of a problem. In fact, if there really WAS a place where all schools could gain environmental bonus, I can be sure there'd be PKers ...........

Well, there are my responses to the above suggestions. I'm still waiting (haha, I used 'still') for more information relating to guilds, and also will wait for Einzo's take on the direction of our guild.

Perhaps each person can focus on either mining or woodcutting, so the energy will be conserved into one particular area. Currently the figures are just a ballpark figure as I am not sure of the total number of actives in the guild. Similarly the escort missions can be done at 2 per day, with more at individual discretion.

TP disruption via PK is rampant in CN version, that is why they settle for city training or training within the medicine hall (respawn point). There is a table breakdown for the different environment bonus at http://forum.mmosite.com/thread/2/263/20120525/Introduction_to_Age_of_Wulin_Growing_Your_Character-4fbf60764d38d2e13-1.html.

I love questing but when i hit the wall on my story mode i stopped playing but still will continue to play in CBT2 and beyond.

I like the idea of TP around the world. We can get to see everyone's hometown. But not everyone's skill is the same and they requires certain location to be cultivating at a faster speed like water cave etc with different elemental attributes. So TP together may not be effective for people with different internal skill and we need to strike a balance on this.

I agree we can have each people gathering each required resources but some life skills required cross resources usage eg.(tailoring required cloth and skinning). Not sure about other life skill which may require ores and wood which that particular character may have problem getting for guild as well as himself. Contribution should be voluntarily so as not to conflict character development.

Not sure about escort but since in the long run there will be evil ones roaming the land so we should estimate each successful run probably takes 20-30min or 2/3 per hour. We can finish TP after that escort of 1-2hr should we can have a tentatively guild AOW event from 7-10pm everyday for hardcore players :)

For my concern, as an adult that play games only for pleasure, i m against the idea of having quotas. Forcing people to do stuff that they wouldn't do otherwise can only lead to problems. It's a game and it should remain a game for all the pople that choose to play it this way. Otherwise it's like going to work. And people don't play games to go to work. So, in my opinion, as far as i think that quotas are a bad idea, i d say that having something to motivate people to do stuff to help the guild, such as recolting materials, could be a good idea. For exemple we could set a promotion system inside the guild that would allow people that help the guild to advance faster into guild ranks.

Konoka

True enough. When you put it that way, I see the merit in your point. One of the reasons why I love Einsof so much is because I felt like it was a really free guild, where we could do things together if we wanted to, but we could also reject if we didn't feel like it. I wasn't always scared that I might get kicked for not fulfilling some daily quota, and I really liked that. But the promotion system ........ is it really that useful? Wouldn't we also have to give reasons for members to want to get promoted? I'm open to any ideas here  ;)

Hey guys, I do read your suggestions and thanks for giving your feedbacks. With more feedbacks, we will work things out so that everyone will be happy in the Guild. My motto is I want everyone to be able to enjoy the game and play, have fun together and not stress too much on meeting quotas or whatever it is. Konoko please do not think that you will be kicked out for not filling a quota or whatever. Chill and relax! :P As I mentioned, I will write down the Guild goals, direction etc sometime this week. I just need some time because I'm currently working, and also working on the forums to attract more people in hope that also more people will get to know of Age Of Wushu and we will have more players to play together with. :)

emmanuel

Well said Einzo. And we all want to make this guild the best possible for all its members  :)

The ranking stuff was just an idea to give a reason to members to work on getting stuff that the guild may need. But if someone has a better idea then we ll be happy to listen at it  ;)

Konoka

I suppose a fundamental question we should ask ourselves is this: are we going to be a guild that seriously aims to be the top guild?

Aiming to be a top Guild will be a plus or a bonus. If being a top Guild requires our Guild members to be stressed out, force themselves to meet certain quotas, etc, then no, I rather not aim to be a top Guild. I don't see any perks in being a top Guild for MMOs, except for boasting rights. I am leaning more towards the enjoyment and fun factor for our Guild members. In this game, I know the Guild system has Guild strengths/ enhancements etc to build up but we can play it at our own pace and build them up. In real life, we are already working and studying. Gaming is for entertainment, not an add-on to stress.
